La Asociación de Hispanistas de África Austral (AHSA) se constituyó formalmente en 2010. Su propósito es promover la lengua y las culturas del mundo hispanohablante entre las personas, instituciones y entidades relevantes de África Austral. Está constituida por diversos profesionales del mundo del español y la cultura hispanohablante, la mayoría profesores de español como lengua extranjera, pero también investigadores de otras ramas relacionadas.
The Association of Hispanists of Southern Africa (AHSA) was formally established in 2010. Its purpose is to promote the language and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world among relevant individuals, institutions, and entities in Southern Africa. It is made up of various professionals from the world of Spanish and Spanish-speaking culture, most of whom are teachers of Spanish as a foreign language, but also researchers in other related fields.
La AHSA está administrada por un comité ejecutivo compuesto por el presidente el Dr Luis Andrés Lancho Perea, la vicepresidenta Carmen Sánchez Martin, la secretaria Cathy Maree, el tesorero Dr Carlos Alberto Tirado Taipe y otros miembros / asesores invitados que se reunen mensualmente. The AHSA is administered by an Executive Committee composed of President Dr Luis Andrés Lancho Perea, Vice President Carmen Sánchez Martin, Secretary Cathy Maree, Treasurer Carlos Alberto Tirado Taipe, and other invited members/advisors who meet monthly.
